4. How your information will be used
In order to provide services to you, it is necessary for us to collect and hold personal information about you. This information will be used to:
- deliver and manage services we provide to you
- consider and make decisions on planning policy matters you are involved with
- provide statistical analysis
- help with research and planning new services
- send you communications which you have requested and consented to that may be of interest to you
We will collect information about you for the purposes of keeping you informed about Local Plans, Neighbourhood Plans, Supplementary Planning documents and other planning policies.
We collect and use this personal data in order to operate as a statutory body when undertaking a public task. Typically it is collected and processed in order to help service delivery in the production of local and neighbourhood plans, to meet statutory requirements, for research including development monitoring, and for consultation purposes.
Land Information Database
The information supplied by you or on your behalf in relation to housing or employment sites forms part of our land information database (Housing and Employment Land Availability Assessment).
Should you decide not to provide any of the information we request from you, we cannot include the site you have put forward in the database.
Plan-making and related
The council needs to meet the provisions various planning acts and regulations:
• The Localism Act 2011
• The Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004
• The National Planning Policy Framework 2018 and associated regulations.
In the preparation of local plans there is a requirement to consult with various consultation bodies and local residents.
The local planning authority is required under planning regulations to make a detailed statement on representations and submit to the Secretary of State as part of local plan making.
