3. Business Impact Assessments

Business Impact Assessments (BIAs) help us to comply with our duties under the Equality Act 2010.

All services are asked to complete a Business Impact Assessment on new strategies, policies and important decisions to consider the potential impact on our residents and businesses.

The BIA consists of 4 elements: the proposal for change, and any potential environmental, value/financial and social impacts of the proposal. The social impacts are measured against all the protected characteristics identified under the Equality Act 2010: and in addition we include our rural and economically deprived residents, businesses and communities.
