District and Parish Elections on Thursday 2 May 2019
Full elections to Teignbridge District Council and to all Town and Parish Councils within the Teignbridge area will be held on Thursday 2 May. A copy of the timetable is available. Other information and relevant notices will be displayed on this page as and when it is available, or is published.
In a number of areas the elections will be held on new boundaries and Teignbridge voters will be electing 47 councillors to 24 district wards. In the towns and parishes there will be a total of 409 seats to fill in 57 electoral areas.

How to vote
Poll cards were posted out on Monday 25 March and they will tell you which area(s) you will be voting in and where your polling station is located.
If you are yet to receive your poll card, you can find out where you polling station is located by visiting wheredoivote.co.uk. Alternatively, a list of polling stations for contested elections is available: District Polling Stations and Parish/Town Polling Stations.
If you currently vote by post, the poll card will confirm the address your postal ballot will be sent to.
If you currently vote by proxy, the poll card will confirm the name of the person you have appointed as your proxy.
If after 5pm on the 6th working day (Wednesday 24 April) before polling day you find you are unable to vote in person because you have either a medical emergency or for reasons due to work or service, you can apply to vote by emergency proxy.
