Lotteries That Don't Need a License or Registration

Incidental Lotteries: Held at events like charity dinners, festivals, or fetes.

Private Lotteries:
- Private Society Lotteries: Only members and people on society premises can join.
- Work Lotteries: Only people working together at the same location can join.
- Residents' Lotteries: Only people living at the same location can join.

Customer Lotteries: Only customers at the business premises can join.
If all tickets are sold on the same day as the draw, no registration is needed.
Registration for Non-Commercial Society Lotteries (Small Society Lottery)
For lotteries benefiting a non-commercial society, such as:
- Charitable causes
- Supporting sports, athletics, or cultural activities
- Other non-commercial purposes (not for private profit)
Limits for Small Society Lotteries:
- Max proceeds of £20,000 per draw
- Max total proceeds of £250,000 per year
You don't need a license, but you must register with the local authority where your main office is located.
Registration Fee:
- Initial fee: £40
- Annual fee: £20
