12. Warren Copse

Warren Copse is in Dawlish situated just off the A379 on the road to Dawlish Warren. Also known as 'Marine Plantation', Warren Copse was originally planted with timber production in mind. The trees escaped harvesting and along with our native trees, mature sweet chestnut and Monterey pine now provide a valuable habitat for woodpeckers, jays and other woodland birds plus spring flowers and autumn fungi. A circular footpath allows you to explore this little copse.
